How Soluna supports students
1:1 support on their schedule
Teens can connect with a trained Soluna Coach or schedule a session with a state-licensed counselor* whenever they need someone in their corner. No insurance needed, no waitlists, and absolutely free — just open, judgment-free support.
*Services vary by state

Self-guided skill-building
Soluna’s library of content and tools support teens in turning life's challenges into chances for growth. Inspired by positive psychology, Soluna's evidence-based resources urge users to embrace their strengths, values, and goals.

Nurturing confidence through connection
In our secure and anonymous community support spaces, youth find peers who get what they're going through. Whether sharing a story or offering support, every comment is reviewed by moderators before being published.

Real help finding real-world support
Soluna is more than an app. Whether it's finding a therapist, connecting to local agencies, or accessing food and shelter, our resource finder helps young people search for and connect with low- or no-cost services in their area.

Support that speaks their language
Soluna offers on-demand mental health coaching in English and Spanish — on students terms, in their time. They are able to get the support they need, the way they need it.

Frequently asked questions
Yes! Soluna helps schools fill gaps and offer additional layers of support for students during holiday and summer breaks. Seven days a week, students can visit Soluna's moderated peer community to connect and explore challenges, or they can access 1:1 coaching and counseling for help processing situations and feelings.
Yes. To access peer forums and 1:1 support, first name, last name, and an email address are required, but at no time is it visible to users in the platform. Users cannot chat directly or share personal contact information.
Our platform is designed to provide a confidential and youth-centered space where young people can access mental health support without fear of stigma. As a result, the user experience in the app is confidential unless there is a safety concern.
When Imminent Risk is identified in asynchronous content, a member of our team will send a message with crisis resources, seeking additional identifying information, and encouraging them to connect with us to better address the risk. If a risk is identified and the young person is under the age of consent in their state, our clinicians follow state-mandated reporting laws and duty-to-warn obligations, which may include contacting a parent or caregiver when necessary to ensure the young person’s safety.
No phone? No worries. The web version of Soluna lets teens connect with mental health support whenever they need it — right from a browser.
Soluna follows all applicable state laws related to parental consent. Depending on your state and the age of the student, they may need parental consent to use Soluna or request 1:1 professional support.
Soluna doesn’t replace what you’re already doing, it just amplifies it. It’s designed to fill the gaps when your resources aren’t available. It also helps reach students who may not feel comfortable accessing in-person support, or those who are navigating barriers like cost or stigma.
Soluna isn’t just more screen time for developing brains. It’s intentional, supportive, and designed for mental wellbeing. Unlike social media, it’s a secure space where students can build skills, find support, and take care of their mental health in ways that authentically fit their lives.
