Meet The Ambassadors

Hi! I’m Sofia, a psychology major from New Jersey with a strong passion for mental health advocacy. I joined the ambassador team because I truly believe young people deserve access to free, confidential support, especially during a time when so many are juggling school, relationships, and pressure to have everything figured out. Mental health resources can be life-changing, and I love being part of a community that helps make support feel normal, accessible, and stigma-free for youth who need it most.

Hi there! My name is Savannah, and I’m from Santa Barbara County. I’m currently a student at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo majoring in Agricultural Communication. As a neurodivergent student, I’m passionate about normalizing conversations around mental health and making support resources feel accessible, inclusive, and judgment-free. I joined this crew because I know how important it is for young people to have access to free, confidential mental health support, especially when navigating school, work, and life all at once. Everyone deserves to feel supported and seen, and I believe mental health care should be easy to reach, no matter where you’re starting from.

Go-to feel-good song: Todo de Ti by Rauw Alejandro

I’m a recent neuroscience graduate from Northern California, deeply interested in how science, care, and human connection intersect; especially in the spaces where medicine and mental health meet. As a first-generation immigrant, I’ve experienced firsthand how support can feel like a maze: confusing, intimidating, or simply out of reach. Yet by having stepped into the role of emotional support for others early on, I’ve learned how transformative a safe, confidential conversation can be. I joined Soluna to help strip away the intimidation of “asking for help" because I believe mental health support shouldn’t be reserved for breaking points, but instead woven into the fabric of everyday life. Whether it’s a small setback or a major transition, everyone deserves a soft place to land and resources that meet them exactly where they are. My goal is to bridge the gap between needing support and actually finding it, so that seeking help feels as normal as any other part of daily life.

Hi, I’m Christina and I am currently a fourth year Psychology major based in California! I am passionate about spreading awareness of mental health resources, particularly for teens and young adults, because such necessary care should never be out of reach due to cost or stigma. I also hope to work in the education system in the future as a school psychologist so I figured this would be a great opportunity to learn more about such a valuable resource like Soluna and gain experience in promoting these resources!

Hey everyone, my name is Hriday and I am based in Yolo County. I joined Soluna to help reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and to remind everyone that there is no shame in prioritizing your well-being. A really important reason as to why I joined is the emphasis on free mental health resources. For a demographic like teens, having access to mental health resources is crucial as that is when their brain is developing. And having an app like Soluna- that is fully confidential- gives a teenager the ability to develop healthy coping skills so that they know how to approach any mental health issues that could happen to them. I am grateful to be an ambassador and look forward to being a part of the change!!!

Hi, my name's Sierra! I recently graduated from UC Riverside with a Bachelor's in Psychology and a background in academic and mental health peer support. I'm now back in the Bay Area and super excited to spread awareness on the various digital tools Soluna has to offer! It's so important for young adults to have easy-to-access, confidential support right at their fingertips. I joined Soluna to help decrease the stigma behind mental health support and help young adults build a healthy relationship with their mental well-being!

Go-to feel-good song: Treasure in the Hills by Leon Thomas

Hey! I’m Diya, a returning Soluna Ambassador from Yolo County, California. My passion for mental health started in high school through my academic interest in psychology. The more I learned about the mind and how deeply mental health shapes our lives, the more I noticed something that really stayed with me: people around me still didn’t talk about mental health openly. That gap made me want to advocate for change, especially for youth mental health, because it felt the most personal and relatable to me. When I came across Soluna, it genuinely felt like my calling. It felt like the opportunity I had been looking for to do something meaningful for young people and to contribute to a better future for mental health support. I moved to the United States on my own four years ago to pursue a degree I truly cared about, but I didn’t have a support system here. Living away from home for so long can be overwhelming, especially when you’re navigating everything alone. That experience made me want to be a safe space for others who might be feeling the same way. Today, I know I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. Soluna has given me the platform, purpose, and community to advocate more strongly, connect with others, and make mental health support feel more accessible and normal for young people.

My name is Hudson and I moved last year from San Diego to Santa Barbara for school. My experience in both communities has taught me that regardless of location youth everywhere can benefit from high-quality mental health caretaking resources like Soluna. Growing up is such a challenging time for so many and there are countless people I met while growing up that could have benefited from a tool like Soluna. I'm so glad to be part of a team that gets to help youth find the resources they need to maintain their mental health.

I’m Duke, a second-year History and Political Science double major with a minor in Public Policy at UC Berkeley. After seeing firsthand where behavioral health care falls short, I’ve become passionate about making mental health support more accessible within my community. I’m the co-founder and executive director of Soluna’s first college chapter network, and as an ambassador lead, I use my lived experiences to advocate for youth access to free, confidential mental health resources. I’m also interested in the policy side of advocacy, having lobbied congressional offices for increased early-intervention mental health funding and developed capstone bill proposals focused on expanding access to support.

Hi everyone my name is Katie and am currently a college senior at San Diego State University! I am passionate about spreading awareness of mental health resources because I've had close family members and friends struggle with mental health, as well as myself (I have autism and OCD). I joined the crew because I love supporting people and raising awareness about different types of mental health! I also feel like I can personally connect with and share my perspective with youth, so everyone knows there are resources (like Soluna) to get the help and support they need.

Hey guys! My name is Lordes, and I'm excited to spread awareness of Soluna (Kooth), to my cohort of New Jersey. I'm currently attending Grand Canyon University Online for a bachelor's degree in public health and a local volunteer for the Burlington County Health Department of South Jersey. The reason why I chose this position is because I want to be a part of the process of creating safe spaces for young adults to manage their mental well being. Given societal pressures, financial constraints, and familial conflicts that can exist for much of today's youth, it is important to provide an affordable, accessible tool for all communities regardless of these factors.

We welcome applicants who:

  • Are between 18-25 years old
  • Have graduated high school or earned a GED
  • Reside in California or New Jersey
  • Are passionate about mental health advocacy and community engagement

Yes! Compensation details will be provided within the job application at time of recruitment.

Ambassadors commit to a baseline of 2.5 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours for pre-approved events.

A large portion of your hours will involve working independently. You’ll have the freedom to create your own weekly plan based on your schedule and interests — we’ll give you example outlines during training, but from there, it’s up to you to shape how you want to use your time to make an impact.

There’s no physical office that ambassadors report to, but this isn’t a fully remote position. While some tasks can be done virtually (like sending outreach emails or posting on social media), in-person engagement plays a big role in this position.

You’ll be expected to:

  • Engage on campus with professors, student clubs, orgs, and peers
  • Initiate and coordinate classroom presentations and tabling events
  • Support local in-person community events

We provide training and resources to help you feel confident before stepping into those in-person moments. If you’re excited about peer connection and don’t mind a little "boots-on-the-ground" action, this role's for you.

That’s okay! We provide templates and guidance for social media posts, and just ask you to bring enthusiasm and willingness to share on your own channels. No need to worry about large-scale digital projects — our social team handles the heavy lifting there.

The program runs in cohorts, with each group participating in onboarding, training, and active outreach over a several month period. New cohorts are announced on a rolling basis as the program continues to grow.
