How Soluna helps strengthen student mental wellbeing
1:1 support on their schedule
Teens can connect with a trained Soluna Coach or schedule a session with a state-licensed counselor* whenever they need someone in their corner. No insurance needed, no waitlists, and absolutely free — just open, judgment-free support.
*Services vary by state

Real help finding real-world support
Soluna is more than an app. For many students living on their own for the first time, navigating resources can feel overwhelming. Our resource finder helps students discover and connect with low- or no-cost services in their area — whether it’s finding a therapist, connecting with local agencies, or accessing food and housing — so support is easier to access when it’s needed most.

On-demand tools for self-growth
Soluna’s library of content and tools support young adults in turning life's challenges into chances for growth. Inspired by positive psychology, Soluna's evidence-based resources urge users to embrace their strengths, values, and goals.

Nurturing confidence through connection
In our secure and anonymous community support spaces, youth find peers who get what they're going through. Whether sharing a story or offering support, every comment is reviewed by moderators before being published.

Support that speaks their language
Soluna offers on-demand mental health coaching in English and Spanish — on students terms, in their time. They are able to get the support they need, the way they need it.

Integration with campus resources

Young Adult Ambassador Program
Our Young Adult Ambassadors act as on-the-ground representatives for Soluna, helping normalize conversations around mental health and connecting peers to free, confidential support. Through campus outreach and social engagement, they raise awareness, reduce stigma, and make it easier for young people to take the first step toward getting help.

Soluna’s impact is clear
Soluna provides colleges and universities with preventative mental health services to extend resources and help reach students, thanks to funding from the state. Among Soluna users in the U.S., activity data and user survey data shows:
- 50% had never received mental health support before [1]
- 56% identify as BIPOC youth [2]
- 1 in 3 wouldn’t have access to services without Soluna [3]
- 49% of coaching sessions happen outside traditional school hours [4]

Our platform is designed to provide a confidential and youth-centered space where young people can access mental health support without fear of stigma. As a result, the user experience in the app is confidential unless there is a safety concern.
When Imminent Risk is identified in asynchronous content, a member of our team will send a message with crisis resources, seeking additional identifying information, and encouraging them to connect with us to better address the risk. If a risk is identified and the young person is under the age of consent in their state, our clinicians follow state-mandated reporting laws and duty-to-warn obligations, which may include contacting a parent or caregiver when necessary to ensure the young person’s safety.
